Village View Farm Events
The ideal setting for your special occasion, Village View Farm is an elegant and historic event venue nestled in the rolling hills of the Bluegrass.
Village View Farm, historically known as the Wooldridge Farm, has been in the same family since its inception in 1850.
Originally the farm was used for tobacco, sheep, hogs and cattle. The home was built by Samuel Wooldridge for his young wife, Mattie Avent.
The construction of the home took place over several years. The bricklayer for Village View was the same who laid the bricks for Henry Clay’s Ashland estate. Back then, the farm was on the outskirts of town and provided a view of the village of Versailles, thus the name Village View.
Over the years, several family members have lived there. In 1974, Duncan Lloyd, son of Mary Wooldridge, came back to live on the farm and resides there to this day.
Duncan and his wife, DeeDee, have spent 40 years raising thoroughbreds on the land, as well as maintaining and renovating the property.
